Connection instructions for Windows XP
Start from your computer's desktop, which is the first screen that you usually
see when your computer has fully started.
1) Click once, using the left hand mouse button, on the 'Start' button and then
click on 'Control Panel':
2) If you can see a window similar to the following, click 'Switch to Classic View'. If you are already using Classic View, proceed to the next step:
3) Click twice, using the left hand mouse button, on 'Network Connections':
4) In the 'Network Tasks' panel on the left of this window, click on the words 'Create a New Connection':
5) This will start a 'New Connection Wizard'. Click on the 'Next' button to
continue:
6) Choose the 'Connect to the Internet' option. Click on the 'Next' button:
7) Choose the option 'Set up my connection manually'. Click on the 'Next' button:
8) Choose the option 'Connect using a dial up modem'. Click on the 'Next' button:
9) Click into the 'ISP Name' box. Type Myinternetpass. Click on 'Next':
10) Click into the 'Phone number:' box.
• Type the number you have been given for your Internet access package.
• Then click on the 'Next' button:
• Type your Myinternetpass username into the 'User name:' box.
• Type your Myinternetpass password into the 'Password:' box, and into
the 'Confirm password:' box.
• Please remember that these details are case sensitive. Click on the
'Next' button:
11) You can choose to add a shortcut for this connection to your desktop by
clicking in the small tick box.
Click on the 'Finish' button to save your new connection:
Congratulations! You have now created a new connection to the Internet using
your Myinternetpass account.
