Connection instructions for Windows NT

This section details how to create a new connection using the Internet Connection Wizard, which comes with Internet Explorer.

To open the Internet Connection Wizard click onto the Start button, go to Settings and select Control Panel. Double click the icon called Internet Options.

A screen similar to the image below will appear.

Click onto the Connections tab.

Click onto the Setup… button to launch the Internet Connection Wizard.

Place a dot next to Connect using my phone line.

Click Next.

Enter the full telephone number into the telephone number field..
The Country code must be set to United Kingdom, and Use area code and dialing rules must be ticked.

Click Next.

Enter your Username and password – remember that both the username and password are case sensitive.

Click Next.

Type in a name for your connection, this can be any name but calling it MIP makes sense.

Click Next.

Select No for setting up an email account.

Click Next.

Click onto the Finish button to save the new connection settings.

Double click the icon called Internet Options. Double click on Connections. Click on and highlight the connection you just made and click on set default.
